CAS-ual Fridays “Graduation” CFC#4

CAS-ual Fridays

This week’s challenge on CAS-ual Fridays blog was to create a clean and simple “Graduation” card. My inspiration for this card was my best friend’s grandson, Adam, who graduated Sequoya High School this month, despite years of seizure and countless brain surgeries.

ADAM, you are my HERO, sweetheart!

CFS4 challenge

My card was created easel-style on black cardstock. The main panel was dry embossed to add some texture to the card. A Gold paint pen was used to add shine to the focal image, and an Old Gold colored length of twine was tied around the card.

Supplies used are Stampin’ Up, unless stated otherwise: Cardstock Basic Black #121045, Whisper White #100730, Not Quite Navy #101722 (Stampin’ Up); Stamps Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin’ Up), Congrats Topper (Stampendous); Ink VersaFine Onyx Black (Tsukineko); Accessories & Tools twine, adhesive, gold paint pen, embossing folder, Cuttlebug.
